What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a profession that is aimed at helping individuals to improve their quality of life. This is done by helping individuals to restore mobility, strength and reduce their pain through various forms of treatment.
Who needs Physiotherapy?
Anybody who has had the following:
Acute Pain or Chronic Pain Condition
Sports Injuries/Muscle strain or tear/Ligament sprain or tear
Motor vehicle accident
Vertigo or Dizziness
Headaches
Post Fracture
Post surgical rehab/Pre surgical rehab
Post surgical joint replacements
Low back and Neck pain
Strength/ conditioning programs.
Neurological Conditions such as MS/Strokes/Parkinsons etc.
Do I need a referral for Physiotherapy?
No referral is necessary, even though we do get referrals from many of our community Physicians and other health care providers. Simply call our clinic to make your appointment.
Are your services covered under insurance providers?
Yes. Most Extended Health Benefits Insurers and most Group Health Benefits Plans cover Physiotherapy. To be safe always call your insurance company to check your particular plan.
Do you assess and treat all conditions?
Yes we treat most conditions, with the exception of spinal cord injuries.
Are your services covered under OHIP?
No. There are a few clinics that have an OHIP license where you can go for treatment if you are 65 years of age and over or 19 years and under.
Do you direct bill to insurance providers?
Yes, we directly bill to most major insurance providers. Please contact for more information.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please wear loose fitting clothes or shorts depending on the area being examined and treated.
Do you assess and treat all age groups?
Yes we treat individuals from all age groups from very young to very old.
Why should I get orthotics from you when I see them being sold at other clinics and in stores?
Custom orthotics can be prescribed by different health care professionals, who have the training for orthotics. We at Regenerate Physiotherapy & Wellness carefully assess the foot in different positions and perform a thorough gait analysis. The assessment is done at a high quality with the utmost care. We have been doing this for 8+ years now.
